Weekly Photo Challenge: Near and Far

I had trouble deciding which photo best represented the theme. The image of the road pulls you further down into the valley with the road guiding you farther and farther from the bottom of the image. In the image of the hill, the fence pulls you up the hill. I was fortunate enough to spend 10 years living in a rural area, surrounding by breathtaking scenes: mountains, hills, creeks, valleys, even a few trees. All I had to do was click the shutter button and an image popped to life. The expanse of so many rural and open areas makes any photograph feel as though you’re right there even if you’re actually thousands of miles away.
