Project 365–This Week in Photographs: Weeks 15 &16

I had visions of doing and exclusively spring themed series of photographs for weeks 15 and 16. Replete with flowers of different colors and trees bursting with little green leaves. Needless to say the recent weather in Chicago blew that plan of course. In case you missed it amidst bombings in Boston, chemical weapons in Syria, nuclear rhetoric from North Korea, and fights over gun control and immigration on Capitol Hill, the Midwest has seen a lot of rain. Flooded rivers throughout Illinois have displaced entire villages. Taking pictures in the rain, especially of flowers, is usually one of my favorite things and I would normally man-up to do it, but we’re talking A LOT of rain with A LOT of thunder and lighting.  So my wonderful photo series within a photo series has been postponed until further notice.

I can say one thing for sure, the aftermath of rainstorms is just as interesting to photograph.
